About Us

Our Story

The McLean County Extension Service Foundation became a 501 (c) (3) not for profit organization on April 9, 1979.  A Board of Directors between 6 and 12 members manage the business of the foundation and serve a term of three years for no more than two terms.

The Foundation was created and operates exclusively for educational purposes and programs of the University of Illinois Extension in McLean County. The Foundation values and supports the University of Illinois Extension and 4-H.  The Foundation utilizes funds and contributions as the donor wishes to support Extension programs. Those programs include 4-H, Agricultural, Consumer Economics, Horticulture, Local Food Systems & Small Farms and Nutrition & Wellness.
